It's usually the small dots on the map that are the most interesting. Highland, Illinois is definitely one of them that fits the mold. And just down the road, there's another little town just like it.

Smack dab in the middle of the country, surrounded by acres of corn and beans - and some of the nicest, most down to earth people you'll ever meet.

Some of the local establishments are long gone, but they left behind an idea of community that still runs pretty strong. Thank goodness for the small dots.
