Playing ball was pretty simple. All you needed was, well, a ball.
The neighborhood lot was the equivalent of today's outdoor sports complex, able to handle anything from football to motocross and everything in between.
It's where backyard heroes were born and iconic plays were immortalized.
Games were fueled with giant sticks of Bub's Daddy, a steady supply of Vess cream soda, and most importantly - a true love of the game.
